Affiliate Marketing Changed My Life — But Not in the Way You Think
Most people hear “affiliate marketing” and think of flashy sales pages and pushy tactics. That’s not what I found. For me, affiliate marketing became a doorway — not just to income, but to personal growth, aligned values, and a community I didn’t know I was missing.
When you search for Enagic, you’ll find all kinds of opinions — especially from other companies in the alkaline water space. But here’s the thing: when people talk about you, it usually means you’re doing something right. And when I found Enagic, I learned to tune out the noise and focus on what actually felt aligned.
Enagic is a Japanese company with offices and communities all over the world. It connects people — online and offline — through a shared mission that’s bigger than just water. Most recently, they hosted their annual global event in San Diego (June 2025), and the year before, we celebrated 50 years of Enagic in Okinawa, Japan.
And the vibe? It’s electric. These events are more than business gatherings — they’re experiences. You meet like-minded people who’ve made similar choices, and the energy in the room is contagious. There’s something magical about being surrounded by people who actually get it. It lifts you. It lights you up.
People join Enagic for different reasons — for health, for income, for community. But we all share one thing in common: these wellness products become part of our lives. And even though I live in Norway (where we don’t exactly complain about our tap water), there’s still something about watching those tiny bubbles swirl in the glass. It feels alive. And so do I.
Today, I’m building a business with people I trust. With a sister, a mentor, and a friend who shares my purpose. That kind of alignment? You can’t fake it. And I’m so deeply grateful for where this path has taken me.
Like anything meaningful, success here comes from who you surround yourself with. You need people who believe in you, challenge you, and hold space for your growth. For some, the business takes off quickly. For others, it takes time. Either way, having the right people in your corner changes everything.
Mindset is everything. And one thing I realized? The worst-case scenario is just… doing what I was already doing. That realization gave me the courage to take the leap. Because honestly, the bigger risk was doing nothing at all.
What surprised me most? When I really believe in something — when I know what I’m talking about — there’s no stopping me. I once talked someone’s ear off for an entire flight from Honningsvåg to Tromsø just because I couldn’t stop sharing ideas. Passion is magnetic. When you love something, people lean in — even if they’ve never heard of it before.
So, here’s my advice if you’re just starting out:
Ask questions. All of them. There’s no one-size-fits-all strategy. Take your time. Try things. And don’t be afraid to step off the path you’re on in order to discover one that feels more aligned.
Because there’s always room at the top of the mountain — for those willing to climb. And the view? It’s worth it.
But don’t forget to enjoy the climb, too.
