Why I Turned Off Hustle Culture and Built an Aligned Business Instead
For a long time, I thought success meant hustling hard, saying yes to everything, andchasing results that never truly felt real. But somewhere along the way, I realized the path I was on wasn’t just exhausting - it was completely out of alignment with who I am. So, I started building something different.
I used to be the kind of person who always said yes. If my boss needed something or someone, I’d step in. I wanted to be the reliable one — the one they could count on. The bar was always high, both for performance and for showing up. I never called in sick... until I got COVID.
The worst part? My doctor actually offered to write me out for a few days. He said I didn’t look good. But there was only a month left until summer, and it was our busiest time of year. So I said, “I’m fine. I’ll manage.”
I didn’t.
A short time later, I caught COVID — and I don’t say this lightly — it was the sickest I’ve ever been. I genuinely thought I might die. I was completely knocked out, and of course, I couldn’t work. And all I could think was: I let this happen because I didn’t listen to what my body was trying to tell me.
That was my wake-up call.
I always knew I wanted to do my own thing. To be in charge of my time. But that experience made me start searching for something different. I was done working someone else’s schedule — done trading my health for someone else’s deadlines.
A few months later, while I was still trying to recover and show up for work, I saw an ad. A girl in the mountains, talking about becoming your own boss and creating freedom online. And I thought — yes. That’s what I want.
I didn’t jump immediately, but the seed was planted. In September 2022, I took the leap and started my business — even though I was still working full-time.
Balancing both wasn’t easy. I was exhausted, still trying to show up for work, and struggling to find energy to build this new thing on the side. But I knew deep down that this was the path that aligned with where I wanted to go.
Since then, I’ve made intentional shifts. I still work. I still show up. But now, I have flexibility. I can work from home, take hours out of the bank when I need to, and be sick without guilt. That alone is worth so much.
Was I skeptical? Of course. When something sounds too good to be true, you question it. But when I found Enagic and Kangen® Water, I felt something shift. I didn’t understand it fully yet, but I saw the potential. The business blueprint made sense. The products supported real health. And once I stepped in? I never looked back.
I went all in — literally invested at the highest level — because that’s how I operate. And what I’ve gained has been so much more than a business. I’ve found community, growth, mindset shifts, and friendships that have changed my life. This isn’t just a job. It’s something I truly align with. Something I’m proud to be a part of.
There’s more coming. So much more. And I can’t wait to share it with you.
If you’re reading this and feeling that same pull — that quiet voice that says there has to be more — listen to it. That doesn’t mean you need to quit your job or give up your CrossFit WODs. But give yourself the chance to build something that actually fits who you are.
And when you’re ready, you know where to find me.
